Sydney, February 3. There was a big attendance on the ground yesterday in anticipation of the resumption of the cricket match. A lot of rain fell during the night, and daring the forenoon showers fell, and the appearances were generally threatening. There was a heavy downpour just before noon, and the game was postponed until after luncheon hour. At about 1 o'clock a gale set in, accompanied with beating rain. This sort of weather continued all the afternoon and night. Those in exposed positions were drWen into the pavilions, whero they waited until 2.30, when it was decided to postpone the game for the day. The wicket at times was partially submerged, but to-day a strong drying wind is blowing, with a strong sun, and if no more rain comes the pitch will be greatly i improved by Monday, 1
