\ The pupils at the Boys' School wero formall y dismissed to-day for their holidays by Mr F. M. Spurdle, chairman of the School Committee, and this afternoon the little ones at the Infants' School were presented with their prizes in the presence of tjjeir parents and friends*

Mr J. D. Tuatin, having purchased a large line of toys at a specially low value, is just now busy unpacking and displaying I them. As we were passing to-day we were courteously shown a few lines — the bulk being still unpacked— but we noticed a remarkably complete magic lantern, with slides oomplete, for the very modest sum of half a crown. This, Mr Tustin informed us (as with the whole of ths othor stock), was below coit price, but ifc wns his intention to give the public the benefit of his success in securing the goods at so low a cost. He has numeroua mechanical toys, a vast assortment of dolls, boats, tops, trumpets, etc., besides a special line of games luch as halma, lotto, parquet, and " compendium of games." For Christmas or wedding presents nothing could excel his collection of fancy goocta, the vases in French china (hand painted), being magnificent works of art, as also the glassware, and the epergnes were the admiration of all. The toys will be on view in a day or two in Mr Tustin's window.
