(Por United Press Association.) Waipawa, January I. John Mackersey, Chairman of the Pataugata County Council, died early this morning, after a relapse following a severe attack of influenza. He was 66 years of age, and has taken a leading part in the local government since his arrival in Hawke's Bay in 1874, and was highly respectod for the integrity of his character.
