The Queen unwillingly abandoned her intention to attend the funeral of the Duke of Carence and Avondale, and reiterated her •ntre&ties to the Prince and Princess of . Wales. The Agents-General of the colonies have gent a beautiful wreath of white flowers and violets. The Emperor of China has sent a message of condolence. A detachment o£ Uhlans and Bluchers will accompany Princo Frederiok Leopold, who visits England as one o£ the representatires of the Emperor of Germany at the funeral. Memorial services will be held on Wednesday in mosto£ the capitals on the Continent. Jb.B Emperor of Austria will attend that in Vienna, and in other countries moat o£ the Royalties will be represented by proxy. The Prince of Wales announces that he and the Priuceis are deeply grateful at the universal sympathy. The Duteheas of Abercorn has jeturned the money subscribed in the North of Island with Princess Mary's thanks. Villager have been admitted to inspect the coffin in Sandringham Church. The Oapb, January 19. The editor of ft paper in Johnaneeberg who attacked the late Dulse of Clarence W»s set upon by n mob of his ejectment from the Transvaal threatened. The windows of his offlco were smashed.
