Feilding Hunt Club Meeting;.

Tho little township of Feilding was tn fete yesterday, the occasion being the third anuual meeting under the auspices of the United Hunt Club. The weather was all that could be desired, and the attendance numbered over 500 including a sprinkling of the fair box. Mr Smith, of Feilding, had control of tho publican's and refreshment booths, and Messrs Hill and Poole the totalieator. The lion, secretary, Mr Goodbehero, was kept going all day, and was well backed up by his brother officers. The going was very heavy, and therfore good times were not registered. When the bell rang for the Trial Steepleohuso, it was found that soven out of eleven were facing the starter, of which Tho Master waa favourite, and he won all the way The Hack Hurdles was an easy tbiDg for Doncaster, and Flintstone romped home { in the Hunt Club Steoplechase. The Welter was a very pretty race, and " Teddy" Barnes, who rode the winner, was cheered to the echo as he passed the post ; Doncaster was second and Bata third, Time, 3min 2sec ; dividend, £3 Bs. The Open | Steeplechase came next ; Matchless led all the way, and was winning easily, when he fell at the last hurdle, leaving Queenslander (Herbert Jackson up) to canter in. Dividend, £1 9s. The Ladies' Bracelet was won in a canter by Fliutstone, Konini second, and Allegretto third. Dividend, £1 17s. Cruiskeen won the Final Hack Steeples, but the stakes wera awarded to the second horse — Briar— aa it was stated that the winner did not negotiate all the jumps. Cossack was third. Dindend, £1 8s. Entry, tho winner of the Welter, is by Afleot, dam Mountain Air, and is a fine specimen of his game old sire.
