PARNELL'S DOWNFALL
His Marriage has not Helped his Position-
LoHBOH, July 3. Farnells marriage lias not helped his cause, as he and his friends last week confldontly hoped it would. The action of the Irish bishops yesterday in re-affirming the declaration that Parnell was unfit to be the leader of the Irish people shows that no quarter will be given him by the olergy. This is considered a final blow to Parnell's cause, and the reception which he met with at Carlow yesterday shows that the people have ceased to pay any attention to him. At Myshall, it may be added, Parnell addressed v meeting at which only thirty people were present. He had a successful meeting at Teemagh to-d»y, and afterwards essayed to speak at Ballon, probably the most hostile district of Carloir. There ho was received by the priests and the bitterest onti-Parnellites with hisses and groans. The police had hard work to avert a riot.
