We are requested to state that owing to there being services in the various churches this evening, the meeting of tho Harmonic Clnb will he held at 8.30, and not at 8 o'clock os at first announced. Tho preliminaries connected with the formation of the Society will be arranged, and a short practice will follow. The club havo taken St. Paul's Hail (adjoining tho church), for practice, commencing next Tuesday evening.

We understand that the Freezing Wo>ks at Castlecliff will bo sufficiently complete on Queen's Birthday 1 (25th) to allow of stoam being got up, *nd a trial of the machinery made. As this will be tho best opportunity for the public to witnoss the working of tho plant, .a large number of visitors will no doubt avail themselves of the holiday and embrace the opportunity afforded to go through the works jand see how the freezing is done. When a start iB made viith the freezing of mutton und beef, visitors will not be able to see much, as the chambers will not be opened except to allow the employees to enter and leave them.
