Weights for Final Steeplechase will be declared after the Trial Steeplechase and acceptances half-an-hour before the race starts. N.B. — No person having receivedpaymentin consideration of work performed in connection with the training or riding of horses shall be eligible to ride as a gentleman rider. Application for election as a gentleman rider must be in the hands of the Secretary not later than Thursday, May lßt.
RULES AND REGULATIONS. All entries, nominations etc., will close at the Secretary's office at 9 p.m., except where otherwise specified. No entry will be received for any of the races except upon this condition — That all disputes, claims, and objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by a majority of the Stewards present, or those whom they may appoint. Their decision upon all points connected with the carrying out of this programme shall be final. All Entries to be sealed and addressed to the' Secretary, Wanganui, Jockey Club, Wanganui, ENTRANCE MONEY ENCLO3SD with name, age at time of entry, name of owner, pedegree, colours of the rider, and, in the case of handicaps, where horses have not previously started on the Wanganui Course, pedigree and performances of the horse. Any owner failing to declare Mb color at time of entry will be fined 2 aovs unless the colors of the owner of the horse are duly registered. Entry forms can be obtained from the Secretary.
