Burnett, Secretary and Treasurer. rr^HE Government having offored a subJL sidy of pound for pound on subsoriptions up to LIOO for the purpose of erecting a Monument in the Domain, Wanganui, to the memory o£ the soldiers buried in or near Wanganui during the last wars with the natives, the Committee ask for subscriptions in furtherance of this object. A list of the names and ofchor particulars may be seen, as it is proposed that they should appear on the Monument, in the lobby of the Public Library, where a book is also kept to record any suggestions that may bo mado by anyone on the subjeot, more especially as to additions and necessary alterations. The following have been received, and further subscriptions may be paid to any of the Committee, or to Mr Burnett, Ridgway Street, next Messrs Cummins, Sharpe, and Co.'b store.
