Stevens and Gorton's Stock Report.
Bums, April 25.
We yarded oter 600 head of cattle and penned good entries of shaep at Awahuri on Tuesday. Tho bidding was very brisk, and all the cattle wore sold at advanced rates. The sheep were not of so good a olass as at recent sales, but we sold all excepting one pen. Our quotationa are :—: —
Cattle— ¥at cows, i' 3 13s 6d to £4 2a 6d ; 3 and 4 year steers, £3 18s 6d to £3 19b ; 2 to 2} year steers, £2 15s to £3 ss ; cows, £2 133 6d to £2 ISs ; 3 year steers, £3 10s ; polled Angus cows, £4 4s; polled Angus bulls, 3 and 4 guineas ; weaners and yearlings, 25s to 345.
Shbep— Breeding ewes, 9s to 12s 8d; fat Bheep, 10s 6d ; empty ewes, 6s lid ; mixed sheep, 9s 8d ; lambs, 9s.
