Inspector Pardy of New Plymouth is in town. A cable received in Wellington to-day announces the arrival of tho ahip Waimate at London from Auckland. (Sept, 1) An inquest was hold at Mr Huscoe'a Hotel, Fordoll, this morning on the body of the young man Avery, and a rerdiot was given that the deceased committed suicide while suffering from temporary insanity.
