The New Zealand Shipping Company, Limited, have received tho following cable message from their London office—"Outward rates of freight by sailing ships have been reduced, and the Company will despatch a regular monthly service of cargo steamers from London for New Zealand, commencing in January next." The utoanicr Außtralind, while passing Cossack, Western Australia, recently rescued three Asiatics who had been wrecked at Bedout Island, a short distance from Cossack, about the middle of August last. Shaw Saville and Albion Company have arranged to run a monthly line of cargo steamers from London to New Zealand, and vice vena, after noxt December. This will be equal to an English steamer leaving New Zealand every week, besides the other two lines which at present do not run at regular dates.
