CONSIDERATION FOR DENOMINATIONALISM. (Por United Press Association.) Weilington, Angust 1. A meeting was held yesterday on behalf of tho Church of England, in support of Mr Pyko's Private Schools Bill. The chairman (Mr Rous Marten) explained that there was no intention of attacking the system of State education, but the desire was to provide an element of religious imstruction, and also to relieve the present financial strain. A motion was carried tj the effect, That the Primate be asked to petition Parliament in favour of the Bill. A committee waited on the Primate, who exprassed his entire concurrence with the views of the deputation and promised to petition Parliament as desired. He mentioned that when giving evidence beforo a Parliamentary Committee some years ajo ho warned them that sooner or later the Church would organise in this direction, and he thought the time had now come.
