Sydney, December 7. — Information has been received here that the sohooner Thistle, while atHowe Group was boarded by officers from the German warship Alexandrine, and warned against trading in German territory. Admiral Scott, in charge of the Australian station, is making inquiries into the matter. Hobabt, December 7. — It is understood that a conference to discuss the question of federation will meet here in the last week in January.
