How Wanganui Butter is Treated.

' W — — * SA The following is an extract from s London jS. letter, dated 3rd May, with reference to the butter receives on the way to K^Wellington for shipment Home : — "It fis observed that some of the recent from the colony — especially, £\ .we believe, faom New Plymouth and jifeWanganui Distriote — have arrived in yety ' condition. In consideration of this we £*■ -would urge on manufactures the desirability .^. of . seeing that their butter reaches the ;f ; cool chamber of the direct steamer in good ■ji order. For this purpose our brokers urge that manufacturers themselves should have stores, and combine to put pressure on j;", -the owners of coasting vessels to provide B) cool chambers."
