NOMINATIONS. , For handicaps and entries for Maiden Race to be made toj the Secretory on or before Saturday the 15th December at 9 p.m. f at Mr T. W. Ferry's' Tobacconist, Ridgway Street, Wanganui. The past twoyears performances to accompany 'nominations. Handicaps will be declared on Thursday, December 20. Entries forremaining events will be receieved at theSecretary'i Office on the day of the Sports. Tho races are open to all, and will be run under the rules of tho Wanganui Caledonian Society. Acceptances must be mado with tho' Secretary at least half an hour before the time of starting. The time for receiving entries and acceptances will be strictly adhered to. No nominations or Entries will be received unless accompanied with the proper fees. Competitors must appear in proper costume. The decision of the Stewards, or whoever they may appoint, shall be final. Four competitors tojstart or no 3rd prize three or no 2nd; two or no Ist. Swings will be erected on different parts of the ground. Every facility will be afforded to picnic parties. Hot water will bo provided, also booths, refreshment stalls, Etc. Sports to commence at 11 o'clock sharp. The Garrison Band will be in attendance. Admission to the Ground— Adults Is; children under 10 years of age, free.
