Parliamentary Notes.
(FROM OUR SPECIAL BSPOETBR.) Wellington, November 7. A COWABDLY ATTACK.
A disgraceful and cowardly attiok has been anonymously made on Mr Fish, member for Dunedin South, in the shape of a circular sent to every member of the press orroespondents now in Wellington, alleging oharges of bribery and immorality, Mr Fieh informs me he intend! to bring the matter under the notice of the speaker. The circulation of the charges in the manner described, has had the effect of producing a good deal of sympathy for Mr Fish. The ciroular bears the Dunedin post mark, but no imprint. Tho envelopes are addressed in a disguised hand.
THB OPPO3ITION.
Nothing is known as to the intentions of the opposition, and as most of the members of that party are supporting the Uovrnment at present on the Midland Railway proposals. It is expected that the latter question wil be referret* to a select committee, unlois the Government, aided by the Canterbury members, force it through the committee of the whole to-morrow afternoon.
