A fire ociurrcd last night in Pratt's buildings, Colombo-street, The shop occupied by Mesdames Hill and Williams, dressmakers, was gutted and the stock destroyed. It was insured In tho Standard for £200. The buildinp, which is damaged to the extent of £375, is insured for £1100 in the Sun office (half roinsured in the Norwich Union), £500 in the Equitable,
NEW PLYMOUTH.

Tho deorce in tho case, New Plymouth Harbour Board v the Sinking Fund Commissioners, was settled according to Judge Ward's jtylgmeut yesterday in the Supreme Court this morning. The Harbour Board have refunded to them by the Judge's ruling some £20,000, which goes towards the construction of the work:
