. + __ (bedtbb's telegrams.) Received April 19, 1,15 p.m. SMALLPOX, Melbourne, April 19— The Chimborazo has arrived here from Adelaide. She had been placed in quarantine for fourteen days, on account o£- a caße of smallpox which occurred during the voyage to Australia. The disease has not spread beyond the one patient at Adelaide. The ship's doctor reports all other passengers in good health. THE ENGLISH MAILS. Adelaide, April 19— The Messageriesflnd Maritimes s.s. Ocean arrived this afternoon with the English mails of March Bth. DISASTROUS EXPLOSION. Sydney, April 16— A telegram from Lithgow announces that a disastrous explosion occured this afternoon at the Lithgow Colliery Coal Pit, which took fire a short time ago. At the time of the explosion ten men were in the five were killed, and the others rescued alive.
