Walters Esq., of Pupukurn, i.ud w s by that celebrated stallion Yattendon, sire of more winners than uny other horse in Australasia, amongst whom may be mentioned Habena, Vulcan, Paidon, Chester, Dag worth Sterling, Commodore, Vixen, Grand i!laueur,Nurina Sweetmeat, lord Burghley, etc. FITZ 11EBCULES was a good performer himself, havin. won the Auckland Derby, run second to The Dauphin in the Canterbury Derby, besides other races. He is v beautiful brown, fiee from white, standing over 16 hands, and for bone and symmetry unsurpassed. Peeress, the dam of Fitz Hercules, was the gamest mare in .New Zealand, and while on the turf won races at all distances and weights. Her sire, the Peer, was sire of Darebin, one of the best performers in Australia, and who the Hon Ed. K. Cox.picked to take the place of Yattendon in his stud. This is his second season at the stud, but while in training he got a foal, which was sold a few weeks ago by Mr Walters, to Mr Balmain, for 250 guineas. "Phaeton," in the Herald of August 22nd, speaking of this lilly, says— "l found her a very evenly made young lndy, and in many respects taking greatly alter her hall brother, Foul Shot. She possesses a most intelligent head, which is nicely set to a good racing-lick neck. She is very powerful, both in front and behind, aud a well-turne barrel and even shaped back, together wit a splendid set of legs, and giveb every promise that some oay she will give us a tabte of that brilliant (iuality foi which her hulf brother, Biiliugsgate, was so noted," etc. Terms— £4 4s. It will be teen from the above that this beautiful son of Yattendon is a worthy successor of The Dauphin.
