As a thr e-year-old, at the Canterbury Metropolitan Mooting, ho won tho Eailway Plate, AveighMor-ngo, half-a-milo, beating Guy Fawkes, and six others ; time, sojsec. ; ran second for the Canterbury Cup, weiglu-for-age, 2^ miles. The following day he carried 71bs penalty, and won the Christchurch Plato, weight-for-age, two miles, beating Temploton, and five others. He then journeyed to Auckland (aud though lie had lost a deal of his form) he won the Derby, ran second to Perfume in thell.C. He returned to Dunedin, and ran Becond for tho Derby, having behind him Bribery, Fallacy, Ilippocnmpus, and several others. As a four-year-old, at the Canterbury Jletropolital Meeting, carrying Sst lllbs, ran third in the C.J.C. Handicap, won by Mata, Gst 7lbs. Ariel, 6yrs, vst, second ; and second to Trump Card (his half brother, aud the best three-year-olds o his year), in tho C.C. Plate, two miles, (he was only beaten by a head after a desperate raco), giving him lolbs; time, 3min 4isecs. At Waitakihe earned top weight, and won the Cup and Stakes. Tho following day ho won the County Plate, weight-tor-age, and the J.C. Handicap under tho crushing weight of Kst 4lbs. AtGeraldiue ho carried Ost 4lbs and 9st 121bs, and won the Cup and J.C. Handicap. At Ashburtou ho carried top weight (gst 7lbs) ( and won tho Cup. "Won the Wairarapa Stakes, three miles, weight-for-age. As a flve-year-old at the Canterbury Aletropolitan Meeting, carrying gat (top weight), won the Free Ha. dicap of one mile, beating Foul Play, Camballo, Sinking Fund, Luna, etc., time imin 46sec. Won the Railway Plate, weight-for-age, aud Metropolitan Handicap, Ii miles, carrying Bst 4lbs, having behind him Fishhook, Ariel, Longlands, Natator, Bribery' and others ; time 2inin 4lisec. As a six-year-old ho did not race. As a seven-year-old, and while performing stud duties, he carried gst 121bs, and won the Lyall's Bay Cup, and the Wairarapa J C. Handicap 2 miles (by twenty lengths) ; time 3min aosec. From Danebury's brilliant performances it will be seen that he could beat the Flyers for half a mile, as well as stay long distances under big weight*. As a stud horso he is a grand specimen of the powerful Bhort-leggcd thoroughbred, of perfect temper and great constitution (two of tho most essential quali ties of a sire). Ho has been four years at the stud (the whole of the time in tho Wairarapa), whero his stock are much admired for their substance and quality, and nro selling at very satisfactory prices. Ho is only being removed from their for a season in order to change the blood. Terms— £4 48 ; groomage, 53 ; payable by promissory note to be given at first service, and due on the Ist January, 1885. Bedouin is Bire of Witiora, who performed successfully on this coast and Auckland during tho season 1883-84 ; also, giro of Shamrock, who ran second for the big money in Ilokitika, and won the Consolation same day, beating Lillipee and several others. Bedou<n was a successful performer on the turf, having run second for the Auckland llandicap, 1876, won by Ariel. Wo i the Consolation at the same meeting, beating The Don and several other good performers.
