To start at 4 o'clock. Consolation Stakes Handicap, 30 soys ; for all beaten horses ; 1 mile and a distance ; nomination, 1 soy ; acceptance, 1 soy. To start at 4.45 o'clock. RULES. No entry iwill be received for any race except upon this condition, That all dis putes, claims, and objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by a majority ofv the Stewards present, or those whom they may appoint. Their decision upon all points connected with the carrying out of the programme shall be final. All entries to be sealed and addressed to the Hon. Secretary, Hawera, entrance money enclosed, with the name, age at time of entry, and in cases of Handicaps, performances of the horsD, name of the owner, and colours of the rider. Any jockey riding except in the colors entered will be fined 3 soys. When two or more horses start, the property of the same owner, a distinguishing colour must be worn. Any person neglecting or refusing to comply with this rule shall pay a fine of 2 soys to the race fund. All races to be run under the W.J.C. Rules. Horses walking over will only receive half the stakes. Qualification* fee for non-members, 1 soy. No entry or nomination will be received after the time specified for closing. Letters bearing the postmark of date of entry, and telegrams of same date will be received. All persons intending to withdraw horses are required to give notice to that effect to 'the Secretary or Clerk of the Scales one half-hour before starting. Any person neglecting or refusing to comply with this rule shall pay a fine of 5 soys to the race fund. The second horse to save his stakes in all ■races, except otherwise stated. Nominations for the Handicap Hurdles Flying Handicap, Egmont Handicap, and District Race Handicap, will close at the Hon Secretary's Office, Hawera, onThurs day, 21st February, at 8 p.m. Weights will be declared on Wednesday, 27th February Acceptances and General Entbies will close on Wednesday, sth March, at the Hon Secretary's .Office, Hawera, at 8 p.m. R.
