" Whereas, under the provisions of " The Rating Act, 1882," judgment was given upon the thirtieth day of March, 1883, in the Resident Magistrate's Court, sitting at Wanganui, for the sum of sixteen pounds ten shillings and sixpence, being arrears of rates due by "the owner" of Section No 246, left bank of the Wanganui River, in the Wangaehu Road District, containing 747 acres.
