NOLAN TONES AND CO.'S MONTHLY STOCK REPORT FOR JUNE. During the early part of the month there WM little or 90 sale for any class of stock, but prices have been gradually improving since. Sheep of good quality (more especially ewes in lamb) there is good inquiry for. The sale at Manaia on the 14th was rather dull, most of the stoch entered having- to be jturned out unsold. At our sale of Mr Peacock's cattle, the stock were in exceedingly poor condition, but being unreserved, the prices were satisfactory. At the Hawera yards on the 28th, there seemed to be an unsatisfied demand for cattle, and, although the yards were more than filled, with two exceptions, every lot sold at the hammer. ' Cattle.— At Manaia 110 head were sold. Wes-ers, 20s ; 2 year old heifers, £2 10s ; 3 year old heife-, £3 ss ; fat cows, £4 7s 6d. —At Mr H. S. Peacock's clearing sale, 220 head sold. Cows and heifers from 37s 6d to £2 7s 6d ; 18 months old steers, £2 4s to £2 lla ; 2to 3 year old steers, £4.— At Hawera 340 head sold. Weanera, 26s to 30i j yearlings, 40t ; 18 months old heifers, £2 5s to £2l?s 6d ; 18 months old steers. £3 5s to £3 6s ; 2 year old steers, £3 17s 6d ;2Jto 3 year old bollocks, £4 13s to £6 5s j store cows, £2 lCs to £2 15s ; fat cows, £4 ; fat bullocks, £6 15s. Sheep.— About 2000 have passed through our hands during the month. Shorn lambs, 4m 9d ; lambs in wool, 6s 7d ; ewes in lamb, 7s to 9s 3d j store ewes, 6s ; fat ewes, 8s 6d to 10s 6d ; forward wethers, 10s 6d. HOBBEB.-—A good many have been entered at the different sales, and mostly changed hands, but at low figures. Medium young draughts from £12 to £15 ; heavy draughts, £18 to £20 ; good hacks, £12 to £16.
