FBOM 9 A.M. TO-DAY. Wind— Between S.E. and N.E. in both Islands. Barometer — Fall at all places, gea — JTeavy on eastern coast. Warnings for easterly gales were sent to all places north of Napier and New Plymouth yesterd«y afternoon, and for southerly gales have been sent to-day to all east coast stations between Bluff and Castlepoint. Synopsis of last 24 hours — Very little change has taken place to the northward of the East Cape, bnt everywhere else the Barometer has fallen fully 3 tenths, and there has been a strong northerly gale on the east coast between Castlepoint and Lyttelton. — R.
