(Extract from the Industrial Review.) | MESSRS SAMUELSON AND CO. , , 1 Messrs Samuelson and Co. exhibited, In the implement section, the sheaf-binding reaper which secured the silver medal of the Royal Agricultural Society at the ,severe competition at Derby last year, extending' over three days, between all the principal ' machines of this description. The binding ' operation, so far as the size 0^ the sheaves and the tying is concerned, is automatic, a^d by adjustment before commencing work the machine will form sheaves of one uniform size, irrespective of the variations in ttie density of the crop in different parts iof tb^e field. The knot formed Js the mqat^ecure which has yet been tied by machinery ;,ttte tightness of fbha bands can be regulated, and this tension in no way affects the security o£ the knot.
