The following will form the team to play in the match against the Auckland team :— D. Ashby, W. Frith, E. F. A. Fuller, T. D. Horraan, W. P. Reeves, F. Wilding, F. Barns, J. Fowke, Hartland, A. M. Ollivier, G. Watson.
Dr Watkinß, a very old and well-known colonist, died at Akaroa this morning, at the age of 91. A large number of cattle purchased by Wanganui and New Plymouth breeders at Longbeach sale, and from the late Metropolitan Show, were shipped by the s s, St Kilda to-day. November 22.
To-day the Mayor, Mr Ruddenklan, was presented with a magnificent testimonial of silver-plate in recognition of the manner in which he fulfilled the duties of office during the International Exhibition, and was also presented wtih a gold locket for the Mayoress, Mrs Ruddenklan.
