London', Nov 20. — In the House of Commons to-day Sir Charles Uilke, Under Secretary for Foreign AHairs, in reply to questions, stated that diplomatic communications are now passing between the British and French Governments regarding Do Urazzar's treaty, under which France acquires certain territory in Madagascar. .News haa been re cived here that both Chambers of the Bolivian Republic i.aye voted truce with Chili.
Mr fi. O. Troveljnn, Chief Secretary for Ireland, stated in reply to questions, that Government are of opinion that unions are quite adequate to cope with the distress now pn vailing in Ireland. Mr B. Kennaid, Conservative, was to-day elected member of the House of Commons for Salisbury, defeating Mr W. Grcnfell, foimer Liberal member, who, having accepted the position of groom of the Chamber in the Queen's household, was obliged to seek reelection.
