Received Nov. 20, 10.15 p.m. The weather to-day was somea-hat unfavorable for cricket, owing to frequent showers of rain ; and the match between the Victorian eleven and the Hon Ivo Bli^h's team was not resumed until this afternoon. The home team continued their second innings with three wickets to fall, the score standing at 121, aud they put together 169 before they were all disposed of. The scores of today's play were as follows: — McShane, c, 15; Cooper, c, 8 ; Bruce, c, 40 ; Logan, not out, 0. The Australians' total for their first and second innings being exactly equal to the score of the Englishmen in their first innings, the latter won the match by ten wickets. The attendance of spectators during the day was small. Received Nov 20, 12.55 a.m. Melbourne, Nov 20. — The associated Banks have fixed the rate of discount as follows : For bills at 3 months, 7 per cent ; at 4 months, 8 per cent ; above 4 months, 9 per cent ; interest on deposits for 12 months, 5h per cent. Sydney, Nov 20. — It has transpired that His Excellency the Governor has granted Sir Henry Parkes an unconditional dissolution of Parliament.
(Received Nov 20, 1 a.m.) Sydney, Nov 18. — It is reported that Mr Munro, with Ihe knowledge and approval of Mr Berry and the Opposition, will probably move a vote of want of confidence in the Ministry. Arrived, this morning — Steamship City of New York, from Auckland. Tho Australian cricketers, who were passengers, were warmly welcomed on landing. Tho political situation is uuchanged. (Received Nov. 18, 1.45 p.m.) Adelaide, Nov 18. — The South Australian Parliament has been prorogued to the 6th February next.
