General Crown Lands Office, Wellington, 20th September, 1882. j ONE million seven hundred and fifty j thousand acres of Crown Land will shortly .be open for pastoral lease in the Pro* finoial District of Otago, New Zealand. This country is at present held underlease in forty-six runs UDtil the Ist March, 1884* and will again be offered in runs suitable to the nature of the country ; but no lessee will be allowed to take up more than will carry twenty thousand sheep or four thousand head of cattle. The leases will be for a term of years to be hereafter determined j but in no case will any lease be for a period exceeding twentyone years.
