Public Petitions Committee of the Legislative Council, on the petition of JametTFarrell : — "That taking the prayer of the petitioner into consideration, also the very high testimonials of the valuable and lengthened sei vice rendered by him, they are of opinion that if the petitioner were reinstated in the public service an ace of grace would be performed, which would in no way be prejudicial to the efficacy and discipline of the jolice force."
