ATTEMPTED SUICIDE AT NELSON.
(per united press association.) Nelson, April 13. A man named Joseph Scoles, a miner, who has resided at Collihgwood for some time, is reported to have attempted to commit suicide by cutting his throat. On Warder Gibbs receiving the information he requested Mr Fletcher to see the man, there being no medical man at Collingwood. Fletcher sewed up the man's throat. Scoles' mind is affected.
