No entry will be received for any race ex cept upon this condition, That all disputes, claims, and objections arising out ot the racing shnll be decided by a majority of the Stewards present, or those whom they may appoint. Their decision upon all points connected with tlie carrying out of this programme shall be final. All entries to be sealed and addressed to tlie Honorary Secretary, Otaki, entrance money enclosed, with the name, age at time Of entry, pedigree, and, in case of handicaps , performances of the horse, name o owner, and colors of the rider. Any jockey riding except in the colors entered will be fined 3 soys. When two or more horses start, the property of the same owner, a distinguishing color must be worn. In all weight for age races the new weight for age scale will be adhered to. All persons intending to withdraw hoises are required to give notice to that effect to the Secretaiy or Cleik of the Scales one halfhour before starting. Any person neglecting or refusing to comply with this rule shall pay a fine of 5 soys to the race fund. All races to be run under the W.J.C. ] Rules. Horses walking over will only receive half the stakes. In all races the second horse only saves h's stakes when it is especially stated that he does so. No entries or nominations will be received under any pretence whatever after the time specified for closing. Letters bearing the postmark of the date of entry, and telegrams of the same date, will be received. Nominations for Handicap Hurdles, and Otaki Stakes Handicap close on the 19th November ; weights to be declared on 2Sth November ; and general notices and acceptances on 9th D cember, at 4.30 p.m., at W. Consolation Handicap, £20 ; for all beaten horses ; one mile. RULES AND REGULATIONS. Canterbury Jockey Club Rules adopted. All entries to be addressed to the Secretary and Treasurer Waitara Joukuy Club, Raleigh, and on no account will nominations or entries be received unless the entrance moneys are enclosed therewith. And no entries will be received under any pretence whatever after the hour named. Owners of horses must must be subscribers to the Race Fund of £1 as qualification fee. Dates of nomination, entries, and acceptances: — Nominations for tho Waitara Jockey Club Handicap (£2), and Publicans' Handicap (£ I) close on Saturday, 19lh November, at 8 p.m. ; weights to be declared on Saturday, 26th November, at 8 p.m. Acceptances for the Waitara Jockey Club Handicap (£3), Publicans' Handicap (£1), and Trial Stakes (£1) close, together with general entries, on Wednesday, 21st Dectmbti, lfabl, at 8 p.m. General entries each (£2) ; Consolation Handicap, nominations 10s, acceptances 10a ; all hack entries 5s each.
