f The usual monthly meeting of this Board took place this morning., .Present — Messrs Moore (in the chair), Robertson, Corry, and Smith. — The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. Brunswick Line.'— The following tenders were opened for 27 chains of wire fanoing jvnd.cleanng gorse on the Brunswick Line : — McKinpon + £36 8s sd, Jackson & Co. £47 ids, $'.', WjJfKm, 30s per chain. McKinnon's tender waa (accepyes,( accepyes, and the Foreman of \Yorkji w»8: instructed, to arrange with the cqntractoi; tp fence the Bamber portion at£l 7s per chain. £2 4s per chain ; Crawley and O'Harra, £2 14s 8d ; O'Leary, £2 7s. River Bank Road.— The Secretary reported on behalf of the Chairman (Mr Watt) that the committee met on the 10th August and accepted McGee's tender for 80 chains River at 93, and 12tt chains River Bank at 4s 9d per chain. This work extends from the Aramoho Bridge to the Creswell Bridge. • Foreman's Report. — The Foreman's Report as' to works completed and in progress I wasr6ad,and adopted. Certain recommeridatidns as to culvert 3 and other matters were held over until a future meeting. Aramoho to Upokongaro Ferry —It was determined to call for tenders for 200 chains of metalling on the River ßankfrom the s Aramoho bridge to. Upokongaro Ferry, with a view chiefly of ascertaining the cost, so as to see whether it could Be met by a special rate within No 5 Ward.— Mr Robertson gave notice of motion in favor of 'raising a special ■ rate pf Is in the £. Accounts. — Various accounts to the total amount of £144 4s lOd were passed for payment.
