The s s Oreti left for New Plymouth and Manakau yesterday morning with a strong N.W. gale, got about half way between Patea and Opunake, when the gale shewing no signs' of abatement turned' back, and arrived at Wanganui on last night's tide. ■ The brigantine Anne Moon, which arrived from Hobart Town some days ago, is still down the river, but will probably get up when the spring tides come on.
