BYE-LAWS. 1. All Stock exhibited shall be bonajide the property of the Exhibitor or his principal. The name, residence, and district of the Exhibitor, name of the breeder, and the breed and pedigree of the animal, as far as known, must be forwarded to the Secretary at the time of entry. The date on which sheep, intended for the Exhibition, were last shorn, and the month in which two tooth sheep were lambed must also be forwarded at the time of entry. If any doubt arises as to the correctness of the declaration of the Exhibitor, such Exhibitor shall not be entitled to any prize that may be awarded until the Committee shall have satisfactory proof that the declaration is correct, and any member making a false declaration shall be subject to any of the following penalties : Forfeiture of prizes, jion-permission to exhibit again, and expulsion from^the Association. 2. No person shall be allowed to exhibit Horses, Cattle, or Sheep, unless he be a subscriber of one guinea. t , 3.' The same animal cannot be Exhibited m two classes, but this does not apply to Special Prizes. 4. The Committee will not, under any circumstances, hold themselves responsible for loss, damage, or misdelivery of Stock or implements exhibited at the Show. 5. No exhibitor can enter more than three exhibits in one Class. 6. Where there is no competition in any Class, no prize will be given unless the Judges certify to particular merit. No prize will be given in any Class where there is competition should the Judges consider the competition unworthy. 7. Any Cow or Heifer which in the opinion of the Judges is barren shall not be eligible to take a prize except in the Fat Stock Classes. ■ '8. Judges shall be responsible for the age of any animal entered in the several classes, and may disqualify from competition any animal wrongfully entered. 9. — After examining stock and deciding on its merits, the Judges shall sign and give in their report to the Committee, and their awaid shall be final, provided that no valid objection is made against any prize animals' right to compete. 10. Horses (not Entires), Cattle, Pigs, and Poultry, must be on the ground before 9 o'clock, at which time the gates will be closed, and this rule will be strictly carried out. 11. Entire Horses to be in the yards by j 11 o'clock. I 12. Horses must be haltered and led, and one man must be in attendance with each lot of horned cattle. 13. Members of the Association and servants in charge of stock admitted free — servants to be subject to the orders of the Committee. 14. No Stock or Implements to be removed from the grounds until 4 o'clock on the day of the Show, without a special order of the Committee. 15. No horses except those entered for exhibition will be allowed on the ground. 16. Horses intended for the Leaping Match will be admitted at 2 p.m. 17. Extra Stock, Implements, etc., not entered under any of the enumerated Classes may be exhibited by paying the usual entrance fees of the Class to which they are more closely allied. Honorary Certificates will be awarded, but no prizes unless there is competition. 18. All protests of any description must be left not later than the hour of the Prize tickets being affixed to the exhibits, and the Committee will decide the same aa soon as possible. 19. All Dogs must have a collar and chain. 20. Two Members of the Association, not being competitors, shall be appointed in each Class as Stewards, whose duty it shall be to see that each Exhibit is placed in its proper pen, to point out to the Judges all •the exhibits in the Class under examination, to prevent any interference with the Judges during examination, and on no account to communicate to the Judges the names of exhibitors. . 21. Agricultural Implements must be on the ground by 9 o'clock on the morning of the Show, to allow of their being tried if required. 22. Arrangements will be made by which' exhibits of Machinery, Harness, &c, will have spaces set apart for each. Intending exhibitors are requested to intimate to the Secretary the space they may require. 23. Gates open to the public between the hours of 9 o'clock and 1. Price of admission, ss; after 1' o'clock, 2s 6d; children under 12 years of age, Is. N.B.— The supporters of this Association are reminded that their annual subscriptions are now due, and are respectfully requested to pay the same at an early date to the Treasurer, Mr F. Richards, or to the Secretary ENTRIES. Entries for the Show will be received by the Secretary through the post at any time up to Wednesday, 20th October, such entries to be accompanied by the entrance fees; and entries will be taken by the Secretary, at the office of the Association, Wanganui, on Tuesday and Wednesday, the ] 9th and 20th of October, between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., after which no entries will on any consideration be accepted.
