To travel this season in the Rangitikei and Sandon Districts, the Pure-bred Clydesdale Stallion T>OTH W B L L Bothwell is a bright bay, five years old ; stands. 16J hands high, on short legs ; .'has excellent feet, with great bone and substance, combined with activity ; a very mild temper, and has proved himself a very sure foal getter. He' is got by the celebrated horse Glenroy, out of Diamond, by Sampson (imported from Scotland) out of Polly, by Farmer's Favourite (imported), out of Darling by Old Black Champion (imported). Bothwell took First Prize at Leeston, and Silyer Cup for the best two year old on the ground in 1877 ; First Prize at Rangiora as a three-year-old; second at Christchurch at the same age in 1878 ; and second prize at Wanganui in 1879. Bothwell is also half - Brother to the celebrated mare Glasgow Maggie, who distinguished herself by securing three first prizes at the Ellesmere Agricultural and Pastoral Association's Show (Canterbury), Glenroy, the property of Mr J. McKellar, has been a great prize-taker, and amongst other victories he was awarded the Gold Medal for the best Clydesdale entire at the Canterbury Agricultural and Pastoral Association's Show in Christohurch in November, 1876. He has also been awarded sixteen other first prizes in Victoria and New Zealand. Glenroy was bred by Mr Wm. Ross, ot Newlyn, Victoria, and is by Mr Cox's celebrated imported Clydesdale horse Prince of Wales, from Darling by Redman (imported), out of Lily, a prize mare imported by Mr George Buchanan. _ Glenroy's stock have obtained first prizes at Cbristchurch, Leeston, Rangiora, Lincoln, and Timaru, and are unequalled by the progeny of any other horse now standing in New Zealand. Terms — Single mare, £4 ; a reduction made for two or more mares, the property of one owner, payable on Ist January, 1881. Guarantees by agreement. Good paddocking provided free for three weeks, after which 2s per week will be charged. Every care taken but no responsibility. For further particulars, apply to A.
