SUPPLY TO BE GRANTED FOB SIX WEEKS.
LOAN BILL TO BE PASSED.

Wellington, July 81; At a meeting of the Opposition this day, it was resolved that facility be given for dissolution, but that it be stipulated by express enactment that the Government are to have no power to use any part of the new loan until the meeting of Parliament. Supply for six weeks will be given, "and the Loan Bill passed subject to the condition specified. The Premier and Sir William Fox meet to-day to agree upon the course of business. It is rumoured that Grey is to stand aside, allowing a^reconstruction of the Ministry on a Liberal basis.
Hotel keepers are requested to take notice that the quarterly Licensing Court will be held on Saturday at noon. The Chaplin-Osborne Company arrived this morniDg by the Eangatira, all well. THeir first performance will be given this evening at the Odd Fellows' Hall, as per programme in our advertising columns. Miss Fidler gives cookery lessons tomorrow,**specially adapted' to the requirements of the sick room. One class will he held'fat] 2 o'clock in the afternoon, and another at 6 o'clock. A larger attendance at all the lessens would be desirable.
