The ss Oreti, Captain" Me Arthur, left Duhedin at 5,80' p;m on Wednesday, 7th instant, and had a strong S.E. gale till arrival at Oamaru at 8 iajh on Thursday. ' Took- in abotjt ,40 tons of cargo and a valuable bull for Tafanaki, [*nd left the same evening, -and bad similar weather to Lyttelton, which was reached at 11.30 a.m on the 9th. The Oreti Wai detained «t Lyfcfcelton for cargo till the next day, Saturday, when' she left for Wellington at 5.30 p.m. Experienced a strong S.W; wind arid heavy sea till arrival in Wellington at noon on Sunday.' Discharged 70 tons of cargo and shipped 40 tons for the Waitara, and left at 5,30 p.m for here. Had light N.Ej wind and Bmooth sea to arrival off the bar, at .9 a'.m ypsterday ; waited' for this tide wad crossed at 2.30 and made fast to the wharf at 3 o'clock. The .Oreti , left thia afternoon for Waitara. The Murray left Nelson at 2.30 yesterday find arrived here this morning* at 5 o'plock, but it being some time after high water, she Btuck on the.fl&ts, and did not get up to the Wharf till this 'afternoon. Her time. •of departure for Opunake has been altered to mid* night. . , . . The Mfnawatu left here this afternoon for Well>an. ' _
