For symmetery, strength, and action he stands unrivalled. He is perfectly quiet, docile j and tractable. No horse approaches him in quantity of hair, bone, and muscle: Sir William . Wallace took first prize at' Oamaru, 1873, for the best two year old, heading five ; first for; the^st three year old, 1874; ; and second for horses of all ages, at Oamaru, 1875 and 1876. His dam has bred more first-class animals than any mare in New Zealand. Sir William Wallace gained the first' prize as a fo&lat Maybole ; also as a yearling gained the first prize at Dalrymple, Eirkmichael, Maybole, Glasgow* and second at' Ayr.
