Maoawatu for Wellington, to-night at 9 p.m; Stormbird, for Wellington, to-morrow at 10 p.m. PASSENGER LIST. Per Manawatu — inwards. — Mrs Edwards, Messrs Colrevy, Larkin, Ward, and Lysaght. The three masted, schooner Ellerfcon, and the brigantine ->iEnt'er prise are now both ballasted and ready for sea. Both will prob•ibly'sail to-night for Wellington, the latter to be towed out by the Manawatu. The schooner Arthur Wakefield, from Motueka, Nelson, arrived off the bar yesterday .norning, and came up the river with the •norning's tidti. 'She brings 15 tons coal and J5,000 feet timber for Messrs Cross Bros, vhich she-is discharging at the Commercial Wharf. During the voyage of the Mary Ogilrie from Wellington to this port a most sad accident occurred. Oa Thursday night one >f the eeamen named James Robinson fell from the foresail yard into the eea and had disappeared before Assistance could be given. While at work unloosing the foresail a heavy sea struck the veßSel and shook the unfortunate man from the footrope. Deceased was only a few minutes in the water when he was lost to sight* Robinson was only 21 years of »ge, and a.native of Nelson . The Mary Ogilvie experienced very stormy weather on the trip round, having left Wellington oa Sunday the 18th inst. The Argus, ketch, bound from Foxton to Patea, wittf timber, put in to this port in a leaky condition yesterday morning, and came ap the river during the day. The cause of the leak is supposed to be the vessel having touohedona rock when.running under Kapiti. She will discbarge cargo and repair here. The ps Manawatu left Wellington, last afternoon at 3 p.m. and experienced fine weather and moderate westerly sea throughout the passage. Arrived off the bar at 8.15 this moraine, .crossed at once, and arrived at 9.30. The Manawatu brings five passengers, and fall general cargo. She will leave again for Wellington at 9 o'clock to night. Captain Harvey informs us that the ship which arrived in Wellington last afternoon is tbe Eealandia, and not the Halcioue as reported.
(BY TELEGRAPH.) Auckland, Aug 28. Tho following is the report of the Zealandia's voyage to and from Frisco. Left Auckland ior Honolulu on June 25th, arrived on Bth July, 13 days 18 hours from Auckland ; left Honolulu on. sth July, arrived at Frisco on 17th ; delivered mails at 5 p.m. same day, and were taken by first train next morning ; left Frisco on the sth August, arrived, at Honolulu on 12th, left on 13th, and arrived at Auckland at 11 p.m. on 27th, 21 days 12 hours from Frisco.
The Wanaka with the southern mails leaves Onehunga at 8 p.m. this morning. The Napier and East Coast mails per Taupo tomorrow.
The Zealandia leaves for Sydney at 6 p.m. to-day. Wellington, Aug 28. Zealandia, ship from London, is signalled at the heads. WRECK OF THE KAIUMA AND LOSS OF ALL HANDS. Waitara, August 29. News was brought in this morning by a native from Kawhia that the schooner Kaiuma which left here on the 14th with a cargo of cattle, is a total wreck off that place. All hands perished. Pout Chalmebs, August 29. Arrived — Barque Inglewood, 89 days from London. She brings 16 passengers and 1,900 tons of cargo,, also 5 tons gunpowder, and 1 Clydesdale entire. A. valuable Clydesdale mare died 15 days after leaving London. The ship experienced moderate weather till the 18th instant, when, in lat. 46 ° , long. 130 ° , a fearful W.S.W. gale was encountered. A heavy sea boarded her, smashed the wheel, binnacle, taffrail, skylights, and companion. The ship hove to for 20 hours. A temporary wheel waa rigged, and tho ship made snug. Great credit is due to Captain Buckletirt for his exertions. She spoke the Helen Denny, from London, bound for Napier, 60 days out, on JxAj Bth, in lat. 20 ° , 6., 32 *W.
