Wairoa, Feb. 15. (From our own correspondent.) Captain Blake visited the natives occupying Dickie's land on Sunday. As usual, with that fraternity, the proceedings were enveloped in mystery, though he evidently failed as he is there again to to-day 7 accompauied by Major Brown, Ngatina, and a large number of natives. [per press agency. J Auckland, Feb. 15. Blondin's farewell performance was attended by six thousand people. The San Francisco mails will be sent South by the Hawea to-morrow. Wellington, Feb. 14. The Grenada arrived at Kandavau on January 20, and Sydney on Feb. 5. The New Zealand mails were despatched from London on Dec. 16, and arrived at New York on January 1 ; were forwarded to Frisco the following morning, and arrived there on Jan. 8 ; were shipped on board Grenada on the 9th ; left same day, and arrived at Honolulu on the 17th ; left the same day and arrived ivt Kandavau and Sydney as above, after a passage of 26 days. When, on arrival at Kandavau, it was found the City of San Francisco had left, the Captain of the Grenada decided to go direct to Sydney, according to his written instructions, notwithstanding the protest made by New Zealand mail

It is uncertain if .Reynolds will consent to remain in office. Vog'el will shortly divest himself of the office of Postmaster General. The other memVers of the Ministry will probably resume as before, Pollen being- Colonial Secretary. Pollen is not in very good health, and* will probably leave for Auckland during the week as attendant Minister on the Governor, who with his staff, family, horses, &c, leaves for Auckland via Manukau to-morrow at 4 p.m. in the Luna. The steamer Tui has been chartered to proceed to the neighbourhood of Cape Farewell, and there await the arrival of the Hibernia, laying- the cable, which vessel she will pilot to the landing place at Whakapuaka. The Hibernia is expected to show up on Wednesday or Thursday next. The Artillery Volunteers this morning completed their series of the challenge carbine matches by firing against Auckland. The following are the scores.

Webb, the tenth man, fired this afternoon, making 79 points. Total score— 703. feb 15. The. Ministry, except Richardson and McLean, were sworn in to-day. Reynolds has resigned. Yogel, Premier, Treasurer, Postmaster-General, and Telegraph Commissioner j Atkinson, Immigration, Crown Lands, and Customs ; Bowen, Stamps and Justice ; others as before. Yogel is only Postmaster-General till the" other Ministers are appointed.
