London, Nov. 9. At the Lord Mayor's banquet Disraeli highly complimented Wade on the settlement of the Chinese difficulty, andcontinued—" I wish 1 could say 'that foreign affairs nearer home were as satisfactory as our affairs with China. A partial revolt in Turkey has produced a state of things such as often becomes critical. Forbearance of great powers immediately interested ..produced an effect as, some months a»-o, <v"aye us the right to believe that the disturbance would close immediately. Since then a financial catastrophe has revived the struggle, and given a new aspect to all the circumstances. It is impossible to deny that the circumstances are criti-' eal, but I still have great confidence in the forbearance of powers. I have not merely trust, but conviction that means will be found to bring about a satisfactory result consistent with the maintenance of the peace of Europe. Will not contemplate any other result. The interests of Imperial powers in reference to the question arc more direct, bat not more considerable than:those of Great Britain. Men who have charge over affairs are deeply conscious of the mao--mtiideof : our interests which they are resolved to guard and maintain."
