Oct. 30. HUNTER AND NOLAN'S REPORT. Houses.—There lias "been nothing very noteworthy ; about the average number were entered for disposal by auction. No really good horses offered, but those of a moderately good stamp found ready sale. "We quote hacks from £5 15s to £12 10s ; light harness horses, from £13 5s to £19 ; heavy draught, £45 to £60. Cattle.—There has been a very good supply, and the demand has been spirited. Dairy cows are lower in value, but really good animals still command attention, and the decline in price is not nearly so perceptible as is the case with inferior animals. The stores expected from Whangarei, arrived fbo late for the New Market sale, but there was a very fair muster from the coast and the neighbourhood. Prices were full}'" sustained, and in many instances an advance noted. There was a very good display of fat beasts whichreflectedcreditonthe grazier; the demand was spirited, and prices Eor top sorts advanced, os .per 1001b. At Waiuku there was an increased muster as compared with last quarterly sale; the demand was also better, and in most instances about New-market rates were obtained.

Shepp.—There was a very good muster for disposal by auction on Tuesday ; the demand -was good, and an advance on last week's prices was obtained. We quote store ewes, with lambs at side, 25s per pair ; fat sheep 2s 6d to 2s lOd per 81b. Fat lambs were very plentiful, and sold freely at from 11s to 17 s. Pigs.—Hardly any yarded.—Southern Cross.
