J. PUBLIC NOTICE^ " BAIN'S WANGANUI CONFECTIONERY WORKS AND BISCUIT FACTORY, VICTORIA. AVENUE. jameslTain, IN acknowledging gratefully the liberal patronage which has been accoi-ded him since he commenced business in Wanganni, and which support has been more prominently displayed since the occurence of the late fire, is happvto be able to inform his customers and the public that he has opened HIS NEW AND SUITABLY APPOINTED REFRESHMENT ROOMS SHOP, AND BAKE-HOUSE, which have been erected upon the former site, in Victoria Avenue. , No expense has been spared to adapt the premises to the requirements of the public, the appliances for each department having been constructed .under his own personal supervision, and to a design arranged by himself. His aim lia's been so to arrange the new shop that no deficiency can be detected, and that its special appointments and superior internal disposition shall entitle it to rank among the first establishments of the land in the Province. THE REFRESHMENT ROOMS have been fitted up with a view to ensure comfort and privacy, and canndtfail to meet the requirements of the rapidly increasing- connection which is attached to this house. .Numerous have been the enquiries for a GENUINE SCOTCH PIE, with a Cup of Tea or Coffee. These and all similar refreshments can now be obtained at the new establishment. In this particular branch the establishment is particularly adapted, and visitors to the town, and in taci everybody about town, will be able to appreciate the extensive provision made for their comfort. At all hours refreshments can be supplied, and of every description, the extension of business in Wanganui rendering this branch, of the trade a most important one. The CONFECTIONERY DEPARTMENT will be found replete with every variety, J. B. having been successful in securing the services cf a first-class .tradesman, tp whose skilful supervision this department is entrusted, and from. whom all the various branches will leceive their due share of attention! The Goodswill be-found to be of superior quality, and composed of purer ingredients than the imported article, to which feature the attention of wholesale and retail storekeepers is especially directed. The necessary arrangements will shortly be perfected by which the manufacture of Dry Confectionary in all its varieties can be accomplished. ■ The BISCUIT FACTORY haying been considerably enlarged, and having been also fitted, up with, double ovens, is now capable of turning out Biscuits''of the best quality, and in unlimited quantities. The appliances in this* department, which are upon the most modern and approved system, enable J. B. to cope successfully with any other house in the trade ; and his Machine Biscuits, which he can produce in endless variety, both for quality and price will defy competition. Last, though not least of the capabilities of the new Bake House, is the BREAD, to ..which the sanie attention and care which nas hitherto gained such a- high reputation for this speciality of J. Bain's m anufactures will still be devoted The quality will still be guaranteed, as the daily increasing consumption justifies him in the opinion that his efforts to produce the best article in Wanganui have been apprecated by the public. With every capability for manufacturing upon a scale previously uuatteruptud in Wanganui, and with a determination t<"> occupy the foremost position in the trade by unceasing efforts to cater foi1 the public so as to ensure satisfaction, James Bain now solicits a venewaland extension liberal patronage and support which he has hithorto enjoyed,
