February 1, 1875. The Rev. Mr Kennedy delivered a lecture in the School House on Saturday last to a very fair audience, though many were absent on account of postponement from Friday.. The subject, " The Anatomy of the Human Frame," was efficiently and familiarly dealt with, though want of time prevented the lecturer from entering fully into the minor details ; but an able account was given o£ the most important parts connected with the subject, everyone appearing to understand and appreciate the remarks made. Vocal music took place at intervals. A hearty vote of thanks was given to the lecturer, the whole concluding witli the jSTational Anthem.
TJiere is a prospect of our Town Hall being shortly commenced, which, when completed, will greatly diminish the want of space now felt at Sunday services and other occasions.
The newly appointed schoolmaster (Mr Collis) arrived last week, and has promptly ox>ened school to-day,
