PEOSPEOTUS. I.—The object of the Company will be to introduce and" maintain in the1 country blood stock, v.lie growing irapoitance of the .DisCrier, in'an agvicul-Lin-al and'■ pa.si.oral .sense sliewin^ Vne necessity of such an institui-ion. 2;^-'l.;Ke success which has attonded .similfir Companies formed in the South aad also private enterprise neve, is a, sufficient guarantee that as a commercial speculation alone the Company will pay, while the advantage to the District of having pure thoroughbred and draft stock is patent to every Stockholder. 3.—The Waiigfuiui District has already obtained a high reputation for its stock, ano some of the progeny of ics thoroughbreds are enteied for the Melbourne Cup. 4.—lt is proposed to secure the blood stock already in the District, and to purchase some of the best yearlings in other pavts of the Colony, and also from the .Australian Colonies. The owners of slock purchased here will accept a kvgo proportion of their value in shares, and t!.p(is materially .sirengtlien ihe interest taken in i.ho Society. s.—The Capital will be £15,000 i v 3000 shaves of £5 each, to be called up cm follows : 5s on application, 5s on a. lotmcnt. and 5s at intervals at not less thiui three months at the discretion of the Directors. As scon as i.he.shaves suv subscribe.! for, a meeting of Shareholders will appoint from among themselves the future Directors. 6.—The promoters of the Company intend to limit the number of shares, so {•bub they may not be monopolised by a few. Being only £5 each 'they, are within the reach of nearly eveiy one arid it will be the object of the. Directors to put the Company on a wide basis, so as to give the patrons of thoroughln-ed and dratt stock a general interest in it. 7.—lt is proposed that a suitable piece of land be obtained on which to form the nucleus cf a Breeding Establishment, and the Directors expect that wilh care and economy, in the management, this land, while answering all ihe purposes for which it Avill be ' -eqiured by the Company, can be made payable in itself. 8. —The promoters feel confident that the undertaking will not only supply a want much felt in the district, but while enabling it 1o compete with other parts of the Colony, will also prove remunerative to the shareholders.
