An extraordinary storm occurred in the Sonth of England. The ssreams over-flowed, and whole villages were deluged. Great damage was done to property in the Valley of the Severn.
Resident .Minister for Ot.ago.— The Otago Daily Times is anxious to secure as much of the Public Works money as possible for Otagc, and so advocates the appointment of a Resident Minister for the province, whose special function will be to obtain as much as possible for his constituents.
