VESSELS IN PORT. Sattellite, from Picton. Canterbury from Havelock. ♦ . [by electric telegraph.] ARRIVALS, March 9. At Wellington—Wanganui, From Wang-anui, at midnight. The cutter Satellite, Mr McDonald, master, arrived in harbour j'esterday from Queen Charlotte's Sound. She left about eight days ago, and encountered the full force of the vary heavy gale that was blowing at the latter end of last week. The cutter was driven about 100 miles out from Taranaki, and so severe was the gale that at one_ time the captain thought it would be advisable to throw over the deck cargo. However, the boat rode out the gale in gallant style, and on the wind moderating, sail was made for Wanganui, arriving as above stated.
