GERMAN OFFICERS KILLED.

A German correspondent sends the following statement of the loss' of officers in the German army, up to the 20th of October, 1870,' take* from the North German Militarised Wochenblatt : — Officers killed in front of the enemy, 498 ; died from wounds received in action, 232; officers died through Bickness, 42 total, j 772. These officers served as follows • —Infantry, 690; cavalry, 39; artillery, 32; fengerors, 9; military I tram, 2. They were of the following ranks: 1 lieutenant-general, 3 major-generals, 21 colonels, 9 lieutcolonels, 54 majors, 140 captains of infantry, 8 captains of cavalry, 142r first lisutenants, and 402 second lieutenants. SUBSCRIPTIONS. The following subscriptions for the wounded German soldiers, and the widows and orphans of those who fell, were received by the committee in Berlin between the 12th and tbe 30th of October :—A. German in America who does not want his name published, 25,000 dels. : from Mexico, 20,000 dols.; from North America 239,000 dols. ; from Kurich, 2,000 dols.; from St. Fraulish, £1,111; from Sonora, £40; from St. Cleveland, 2,000 dols.; from Philadelphia, 2,000 dols. ; F. Yon Eiegart, from Koln, 40,000 dols. from his private friends.
